Donna Romero is primarily an oil painter, who also does collage and assemblage, with occasional pastels for fun. She has exhibited on Vashon since 1999, with shows also in Seattle, Friday Harbor and Bainbridge. I have always loved geography and maps.  Several years ago I began to collect discarded maps and atlases.  The colors, designs, and images are beautiful, especially in the older maps - cartographers are great artists!  I’ve only just begun to experiment with different ways to use maps and vintage photos in my art.
